Quake Live is now the only game I play. Crazy, right?

Nothing even sounds fun any more. Last night I came home and the servers were down and I sorta just sat there wondering what to do.

I played some TF2 and used soldier the whole time. I spent the first 5 minutes trying to figure out my guy was stuck on 'walk' mode... Turned out I was running and it just felt super slow.

PS: TF2 soldier is stupid easy after playing QL.

Same boat brother.. Still plugging away on a 3200+ and 6800GT.

Was playing a lot of DOD:S but can't look at any other game since I got the beta key.. Not that I have the system to play all the new ones.. But even if I did I doubt any shooter would be as much fun and require as much skill as Quake Live.. To the point where I am looking forward to dominating some noobs that sign up when the beta goes live... My win percentage during the Q3 days was around 50% in DM, now I'm lucky to win 20% of the time 🙂

Yeah - it really goes to show that it isn't all about graphics.

I played Q3:RA for a few months back in the day. Absolutely loved it. Clan Arena seems to be the only thing similar - awesome game mode... I still wish they had regular RA though....

I finally got it to work after playing crash like 5 times. Closed beta seemed so much more simple!

Nice to have a huge community though.

 
Man these q's are ridiculous. they need to add more servers pronto or configure a setting that allows players to host locally
 
The Q's are really fucked up atm. I hope the final version is nothing like this otherwise it will render it pointless.
 
they removed the queues a couple of days ago, in case anybody is still interested in QL. The stats are still down however but they should be back up soon
 
Are stats working for anyone else? Looks like they only worked on the first day of open beta for me.... Must get my rail percentage above 45%!!!
 
they took down the stats because for a lot of people the first match, that against Crash didn't register and they had to replay it. They said that as soon things settle down they'll reactivate them which should be very soon considering that there's no more queue
