I finally got in a week ago, & i'm having great fun.

I wasn't into gaming when Q3 was big, but i had played it a bit, & as i love pretty much all really fast paced shooters, i knew i'd likely enjoy this.

I played Q4, but it kinda paled compared to UT2k4 at the time, & Painkiller, while good, wasn't too popular, & i didn't like the weapon [lack of] balance, or many of the MP maps.

But Quake Live, man it's great stuff :D

Runs nicely @ 2560x1600, & it's pretty much as good as Q3, but through a browser :)

Very few people ever playing, I got in recently too :( was disappointed that it's just like every other good FPS in that no one plays it.

I'm in the beta and it's great, it's basically Quake 3 with better netcode and spruced up and streamlined with tons of online features.

You can still even play offline with bots for practice and arena scouting, I love it, no changes were made to the core game, it's still very much Quake 3 Arena, this is the way shooters were made back in the day when they were not dumb console ports.

I play Q3 all the time. Havent gave Qlive a go yet. I was waiting for an official release. Its still beta

How the hell is this game still in beta? Haven't they been working on it for a long time now? And why are so few invites going out? I gave up on trying to get one because no one was giving them out and submitting my email address on quakelive.com has been pointless too.

Well, i entered my email for the beta shortly after it first launched, & it took till recently for them to let me in...

It was worth the wait though; just wish more people were in it, or they'd open it up to the public.

I've been wanting to play this for a couple of months now...

Though, no modding available so it's back to baseQ3 mode (i.e. no ability to /cg_enemymodel Keel) :p
