they already have the game engine and game. the matchmaking and all the other stuff that comes with the server browser and any other features id sticks in better be damn good for it to take this long

 
Man, if you guys are wondering wtf is going on, you should see the posts on the quake live forums. Some people are going bonkers. Apparently though this is some "quiet" period where they're fixing stuff on the back-end. Hopefully that translates into more invites in the near future!

I could use more cannon fodder 🙂

Link? Copy and past here? Most game sites are blocked at work for me, plus the connection is so slow it would take me a while to find what is going on. I'd really love to know, it doesn't seem like there could be any reason for the game to be delayed so long.
 
Not too much I guess. They've made some tweaks to weapon dmg, ditched old netcode for unlagged netcode, and other stuff I can't think of right now. Most of the griping in the forums right now center around minor bugs, annoyances, and some bad choices for game settings. Otherwise, there's nothing show stopping. I think they still need a lot of work on the front-end with the whole game browser and match making. There's no current time table for getting out of beta.
