Yeah ID makes GREAT games like Doom III *cough hack cough*

The best choice ID made was to outsource Quake IV, even if it wasn't great it was better than anything ID could/would have done.

I didn't mean that if it were developed by id it would be better.
It seems that id gave the Quake project to Raven and said, "Okay, make a game similar to Quake 2, but show that a little bit of Heretic/Elite Force influence in it."
