Just installed, played, and beat it. I cant say its a game that I'd buy to be honest...

Does anybody else have trouble with it hanging when you exit? It just sits on the screen with the Xbox 360 and PC stuff and won't go away. I've had to Ctrl-Alt-Del to close it down every time.......and that's on my laptop and my main machine.

It's pretty damn nice way more colorfull, brighter, good smoke effects, fastpaced compared to D3..Also more cartoony compared to FEAR,which I think has better gunnplay,Lighting,Suspence,Particles,Polish and more cinematic type immersion.

Both games could learn from each other....

Can anybody get into a multiplayer game. Everytime I try and join a multiplayer game, it just sits there and says waiting for authorization. Anyone else have that problem?

wait like 20 seconds. your curser appears. then click and it goes away. it's just advertising

I've also noticed that the demo seems to somehow mess with my windows desktop color. Gray colors and such get much lighter and a bit washed out looking. This could be due to drivers though.....since it's been a while since I've updated. It's easy enough to fix even when it does happen. If anybody has the same problem, just go into your advanced settings for your video card(in my case it's a 9800 Pro) and click on the Color tab and it'll immediately fix it. It's kind of odd but not that big of a deal.

Surprised it hasn't been posted yet... but this was a beta demo, real demo is scheduled for release early next week... hence the non-functional multiplayer.

I was surprised to be able to run at 1280x1024 at high with all extra effects on (no AA/AF) very playably with my 9800 Pro... Maybe it just seems this way cause I was playing F.E.A.R. at around 20fps :x.

apparently the demo was released early and lacks the MP component (it was supposed to be both SP/MP), an MP demo will be released soon

I didn't hate it, but I'm sure as hell not buying it. Kind of backs up my decision to go with F.E.A.R.

Actually, "hate" might not have been the right word... I was expecting more though, kinda' let down. I've been a big Quake and Doom fan since the originals, and I was let down by Doom III (way more work put into the graphics than the gameplay, the gameplay was like a pop-up arcade shooter.) Feel kinda' the same way about Quake IV now.
