Quake 3 Arena bots

i have a problem with the single palyer mode in q3a.
i beat the bots in Hurt me Plenty everytime getting awords for accurasy and stuff, but i cant beat them once in Hardcode! i am using 1.25 patch (are they really improved?)

can you tell me you can beat them in Hardcore? i prefer level 17.

since i had no opportunity to play against real people (no network, modem too slow ), what is the level of real people in q3a? i mean, compare the good players to bots of some level.

The difference between Hurt Me Plenty and Hardcore (and likewise, Hardcore to Nightmare) is pretty big. The bots get a lot tougher. It's certainly possible to beat them both on Hardcore and Nightmare (although Nightmare with a lot of bots is a pain... they're deadly with that machine gun )

I read somewhere that 1.25 messes up everything, especially the differences between the difficulty levels

who here was able to beta them in Nightmare ???
i tried and got killed in 5 seconds max everytime i appeared. finished with 1 frag
