Is it free yet?
I want to play it again, but I have lost the CD.
Does any place have it for sale for $5 or something close?

It's not free yet, but I'm sure you can find it in a bargain bin or something.

The source code is publicly available, but the level files aren't.

I'm sure you can pick it up dirt cheap, though.

I think I have two copies at home. If you wait a month or so, I can send you one for the cost of shipping.

Good ol Quake 2. I have fond memories of DM1, DM3, and DM18, i believe (The Edge, The Frag Pipe, and The Warehouse). It's been a looooooong time though :(

I _still_ play Quake2. I play the fastest mod for any of the quakes, or any game in the world for that matter. Its called RailwarZ and its similar to Lithium q2, with the hook. Well Railwarz is CTF with a really fast hook and rail only. Like Instagib ctf for UT. More info can be found at www.railwarz.com and I can post some demos of myself playing if you would like ;]

Q2 is the only Quake that I play. Quake 4 is supposed to be a sequel to Q2 and I can't wait to play it, whenver it finally comes out.

i played lithium really, really hard back in the day. Actually, it was ospl2 but it was just like lithium but smoother.

I played more than everyone on atot combined, I'm sure. Played 3,4,5 hours a day (sometimes more) for 2 years straight. It was awesome.

I miss those days.

I played a whole lotta Lithium and Action Quake back in 1998. I was Don_Vito back then too, and I remember actively tracking my stats on The CLQ and doing pretty well. Those were the days . . . Actually I still think Q2 is a LOT cooler than Q3.

I at least equaled the 5+ hours a day thing for sure. Q2 was my life senior year of HS and Freshman/Sophmore years of college. Mostly CTF, lil RA2/DM

I loved Q2 CTF -- I took a couple of months off in '99 when my old employer was sold to a bigger company, and was playing it 2-3 hours a day. Since then work keeps me from getting into Q3 online, so I just play a little UT vs. bots now and then.

Yeah I'm looking forward to Q4 also. Q3 was boring.

Q2 was awesome.....hopefully Q4 will be the true sequel.

Quake/Quake 2 were the original online games. I haven't played anything since those days. I loved Lithium, got up to a high ranking of 582 I think on TheCLQ.com. Railgun wars is also awesome, talk about fast paced! I miss the good ol' days.
