Quake 1.06 under win XP

Think it will work?
I installed it and a box will pop open for a sec. I tried setting everything I could think of to compatability mode...
The installer worked fine w/o compatability mode.
I havent reboots or tried much else... anyone got any ideas?

Forget it. Dos games don't work right or at all under XP.

You are better off using GLquake v97. Just make sure you use nvidia's opengl driver (opengl32.dll) in the same directory as the game.
