Quadro 4000/5000

What would be the equivilent gtx or hd standard video gaming cards for this pro card? i dont know enough about the specs to decipher whats needed and not.

Aren't drivers gonna be an issue?

i dont really understand the whole driver issue...dont they come with a disc that you put in the machine and install the driver?

4000 and 5000 look to be the equivalent of a GTX 465 and GTX 470.
Quadros generally have drivers specifically optimized for workstation apps, though, so the quadro could be significantly faster than a consumer-level card in those.

Oh, and you really don't want either the GTX 465 or the 470.

It's actually a little further than that since the Quadro 5000 is clocked around 15% lower than that GTX 470.

Also, the GTX 680 usually isn't worth it unless you're going for the fastest possible. The GTX 670 is nearly as fast for $120 cheaper. $360 vs $480.

In games, the 680 will win.

In workstation stuff with OpenGL, the 5000 will pwn.
