Tests CPU, Memory, I/O, 2D performance, 3D performance. The free version compiles them all into a single overall score. The paid version launches next month and will allow stand alone tests of each sub category. It also gives a visual indication of the performance of numerous devices compared to yours right in the benchmark. This app should prove extremely useful in the future for finding out what our phones are good and poor at.

Some interesting info: It looks like the Motorola Shadow is on here. It's score far surpasses the 2.1 Nexus One. If the Shadow benchmarked here is running Android 2.1, then with the 2.2 update it will be by far the fastest Android device with nothing else coming even remotely close to it. Galaxy S looks extremely impressive as well. I'm very curious to know if the tests were run with these devices on 2.1 or 2.2. It's possible that these devices just have a ridiculously powerful GPU that helps inflate their scores as well.

Post your scores from the free version to start. Be sure to include any relevant info such as the OS version, rooted or not, overclock or not, etc..

Nexus One
Android 2.2
Score: 1580

are you overclocked?
i think my stock class 2 sd card may be holding me back in the storage part...

Nexus One, 2.2
1.1 ghz
stock sd card
score: 1439

and yes, the galaxy S GPU is much faster than that in the nexus one

Droid, 2.1 Cyanogen 5.0.7.1
1Ghz
612 - 650

Curious how much is CPU dependent and how much could be influenced by the ROM (bugless, cyanogen, etc). I suppose I'll see if I get a different score with the new Bugless Beast when I get a chance.

How are you 2 liking Froyo?

I'm pretty impressed, can't wait to see what's next.

loving it so far. built in wifi tether is dead simple and doesn't overheat the phone. lots of games run noticeably smoother. market auto update is sweet, and the new gmail and gchat apps have small but nice improvements.

music player still needs a massive overhaul though...

On that topic, what is the best music player app? I'm waiting on my Evo to arrive and have just heard that the stock Sense and Android apps aren't that good.

Not overclocked, but I ran the test from a fresh boot without anything else running. Loving Froyo very much.

I think the best one is called ³ (Cubed). Search for Abrantes in the market, that's the author. It's pretty slick.

I get 602 with the same stats, CM5071 and 1Ghz OC.

Something interesting guys, see the bar graph of the scores in the benchmark? Note the Nexus One with 2.2 on the top. Below it, the Moto Shadow. Is the Shadow running 2.1 or 2.2? If its running 2.1, then hot damn, its going to be fast with Froyo. If its already running 2.2, then it'll still be one of the fastest phones available.

Update: With Froyo early release, O/C to 1100MHz, now reading 1381!!!
It's buggy here and there, as it's still REALLY Beta, but WOW!

Got a Droid 2 days ago, put Froyo on it yesterday, has the 800 MHz kernel. 919 score. Pretty happy with that heh.

Quadrant = 530

Droid Incredible
2.1

That seems to be on par with what they're saying the Incredible should get. Hopefully, when root becomes easier, I can toss on a good 2.2 ROM and get amazing results.
