no it can only support 4 chips...

and its an intel board anyway...while sweet, that sorta takes the bang outta it..

while im sure itll be a solid gigabyte board, ill wait till g70 and next gen SLi
 
how come there are so many dual/quad things now? have they maxed out what a single core/chip/card/whatever can do or is it just cheaper to combine them?
 
well, it certainly isnt cheaper for us, but for the manufacturers, its cheaper, and brings in way more profit, a dual core video card would be a lot cheaper than sli

LOL, no I was poking fun at the power requirements and that genny is an excellent supplemental source. 🙂
 
Interesting proof of concept, but nobody but the people on the futuremark rankings will want these. It costs 4X as much as an already expensive video card and will be obsolete in a year. Besides, not that many games can even take advantage of SLI properly.
