I actually havent seen a game at that insane resolution (2560x1600) but is AA really needed?

I would like to know this.

QFT!

Also, What the hell's the point? You'll spend a crapload, findout you're being limited by the CPU, look for a new mobo with more powerful CPU prospects and the slot design'll change before you can begin to blink.

One dealer here in Germany has em in stock from XFX. Can only be bought as 2x bundle or as part of a full Quad SLI system.
Link with pic of cards HUUUUGE!!!

I can't even get my 7900GT bacause they are out of stock everywhere GRRRR :(
But 1580 Euros for QuadSLI is no option...

I imagine it's all a matter of personal preference. But here are some screenshots at 2560x1600 with noAA.

IMO, AA is still needed based on those shots.

Why would this be CPU limited, the huge resolution? I'm going off Firingsquad's review of CPU performance in Oblivion, frmo which I remember that their conclusion was that as resolution in oblivion went up, the CPU mattered less... but I don't think they tested higher than 1600x1200.

I do agree...however at the price of those things, I'd be hard put to justify spending that type of money on a SLI system much less Quad SLI. I'm more of a buy a lot of power, then hobble along as long as possible until the next big batch of games come out.
