Quad Monitors

I am currently running dual monitors on a nVidia GeForce FX 5200, and I want to add two more monitors.

If I added another video card with two more monitors on it, would it affect my PC's performance in any way? (Is my second monitor affecting my performance right now?) If it does affect performance, is it only video performance, or is it RAM and CPU speed too?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

video performance, and add some pci graphics card till u get the desired affect.... U don't play games with that setup I'm guess anyways though

Well, I do play games sometimes (mostly UT2004).

Alright, here's the deal: I use Sonar DAW (music recording) software on my computer, which is why I want four monitors. However, I also play games from time to time (for which I only use one monitor). I pretty much need all the RAM and CPU power I can get for using Sonar, so I want to make sure that having four monitors would not slow that down. I also would like to be able to play games with the same graphics power as just having one monitor on my GeForce 5200 card. Is it possible to get what I want without buying an expensive video card. (maybe I could buy another of the same card I have now)

Thanks,

Ian

Use a Parhelia. You'll get better performance than the 5200 😉 (there is a quad headed version..I'm using the triple headed).
