I just got a retail radeon 8500 and installed it today.I`m running XP Pro,and dual monitors and everything is working great.I just ordered a matrox G450 pci.Anyone know if all of this will work together or not?I understand that the G450 is compatible for dual monitors, but will it work with my radeon so I can have 4 monitors?

I haven't tried it.. but it "should" work.. i hestitate to say it will work because sometimes there are driver problems... or Xp might not support 4 monites... or if they did... not sure exactly how. But give it a try at any rate :)

You'll be lucky, I would think. Neither card is that friendly, Matrox being the better one. If it works I'd love to hear about it and try it myself! But, I have a Matrox APG so it wouldn't mean that much I guess. Wouldn't it make sense to get two cards made by the same manufacturer? Just thinking. . .

I might have been better off getting two made by the same company, but I didn`t think about it at the time I ordered the matrox.I should get it today or tomorrow.

Windows XP _should_ handle it fine. XP Pro supports something like 8 different monitors. Once you have it set up, take a picture and post it. I would be real interested to see how you have the monitors positioned on your desk.

I`ll have to get 2 flat panels first,I have 2 monitors on my desk, but no room for more unless there flat panels.I tried it out for a couple of days with the other 2 on a table across the room.Everything works great.Mabey the flat panel monitors will drop a little more in price shortly.:)
