Quad Core temperatures....

Is it normal for temperatures on a quad core cpu to flick up and down by 1-2 degrees when the cpu is idling? For instance core #1 shows 32 then 34 and then back to 33 and so on.

There are too many variables, accuracy of the temperature sensor, refresh rate of the sensor, background processes by the OS, etc.
