Quad core AMD vs. Intel

I am planning to build a server based graphic work station.
Which CPU is good AMD (opetron 2350) or Intel (xeon E53xx) ? I am thinking to go Dual CPU tyan or supermicro boards. My main purpose is to run 3dsmax, maya and photoshop.

Please advise me on which CPU and Which dual CPU mobo
