Greetings all, long time reader and years since posting here last.
I broke down and ordered a KT3-Ultra as a temporary fix until KT400 or Nforce2 boards are widely available and have a couple Q's regarding overclocking on this board.
Heres my basic setup: XP1600 AGOIA Y Week 13 (NOT unlocked), Millenium Glaciator II w/AS3, 256MB Crucial PC2100 cas 2.5 (will run 155-156mhz cas 2 relatively stable), KT3-Ultra v1.0 (unknown BIOS version), Geforce2, WD800JB, 10/100 NIC, Philips sound card. Currently I am running the FSB and memory clock both at 156mhz, resulting in a CPU speed of 1640mhz, AGP clock of 78mhz, PCI clock of 39mhz, running pretty darn stable. BUT, I'd like to try and get higher CPU speed, but NOT increase the memory clock, AGP clock, or PCI clock.
I've been trying to clock my CPU upwards of 1.6 - 1.7 - 1.8 Ghz and can't quite get it stable, presumably because of the high memory/AGP/PCI clock that results from the higher FSB.
a. Can I run the memory clock at 133 mhz and FSB at 166 with the AGP/PCI clock held at 66/33mhz?
b. Can I run the memory clock at greater than 133 mhz and lock FSB at 166 with the AGP/PCI clock locked at 66/33?
c. Is it even possible to lock the AGP/PCI clock at 66/33 and/or lock the mem. clock at 133 independently of FSB on a KT3-Ultra?
I have tried to accomplish all 3 with the BIOS settings, but can't seem to get it just right.
Can anyone help me out? Should I try a different mobo?
Thanks in Advance
