QFT, FTW... I was banned for about a month and by the time I came back you guys picked up some new language. Who brought these acro's over? History?
 
It's like any new acronym, it starts out on bigger boards than AT, members of those bring it here, it slowly becomes mainstream, losers of ATOT use the terms to death.

And so the cycle continues.

FTW has meant "Fsck The World" for decades.

Just because a bunch of prepubescent nerds on a message board THINK it means "For the Win" doesn't undue 40+ years of popular meaning.
 
I first heard of FTW from an IM chat, but QFT I just picked up from AT probably a few months ago, it seemed very obvious what the acronym meant based on context.
