Chipotle, but real mexican > both x infinity

Meh, that's what people have been telling me, but that's not the case for me. I have been to places people raved about and the burritos were just bleh. I much preferred flavorful Chipotle burrito by FAR.

You mean a restaurant?

I think he means real mexican...as in home cooked.

Uhh, you can get real Mexican at a restaurant.

I'm guessing the place Dacalo ate wasn't real Mexican. Just because people rave about it doesn't mean it's authentic.

Authentic doesn't automatically mean tasty. You gotta find the authentic tasty ones which completely blow chipotle out of the water. Less fat, less bullshit, more taste.

Chipotle is better than Qdoba, though Qdoba isn't bad. Chipotle has better rice, better salsa, and better beans (the Qdoba pintos are way too watery).

Also, I've been to Freebirds and it ain't that great.

(Texans have this thing about their region: Freebirds, Whataburger, the Cowboys, etc. They're delusional, I tell you.)

Qdoba. Chipotle just gives you one big scoop of rice in a tortilla shell and calls it a burrito.

You can tell them how much to put on, or no rice at all.

Then you would be left with just a tortilla.

Moe's ransacked and razed your village when you were a child, killed your parents, and then sold you into slavery, right?

What about McDonalds?

The harsh slavemaster who kept him chained to that wheel, foolishly not realizing he was forging the muscles that would spell his own doom.

I think they are basically the same. I voted for Chipotle because they were around here first.

And "real" Mexican is disgusting. I'd rather have americanized Mexican food cooked in a clean restaurant in a sterilized kitchen with USDA approved meats and fresh vegetables. You can enjoy that "real" Mexican food cooked on the street corner all you want, at least I know the chicken I am eating is really chicken.

it's a shame you'll never eat these.

Looks like I'm getting Mexican for dinner, not for any of the above chains though. Local chain with tasty Mexican food and I REALLY like their carne asada.

have you ever been to Mexico and eaten authentic food there? It's amazingly delicious.

CHIPOTLE.

All of you in the North (Mostly Northeast) don't even know what real Mexican food is. Therefore your votes are null and void

I've never eaten at a legitimate Mexican restaurant that didn't blow Chipotle and all the other crap out of the water. The trouble is finding the legitimate restaurants.

Taco Bell breaks your clean USDA approved American theory.

I don't really like either much. Neither are really what I would recognize as remotely authentic Mexican food. Maybe when they add huitlacoche...

But between the two, I would MUCH rather eat at chipotle. The Q'Dobas around here are just plain unclean, and the chicken tastes like how I imagine hobo scrotum would taste.

Chipotle all the way. There's one place in Hillsboro I've been that's better, but nobody who works there speaks English. I went there once with my brother in law (who's bilingual) to translate.

I said I'd rather eat in a clean americanized Mexican food restaurant. Obviously Taco Bell doesn't qualify as that, so I wouldn't rather eat at Taco Bell.

San Antonio, Houston, or rural?

Freebirds is a Dallas thing.

No, of course not.

Chipotle is owned by McDonald's. Qdoba is owned by Jack in the Box. That's clearly as different as the difference between tangelos and pomerines. Duh 😉
