Q9550 Overclocking.

I currently have a Q6600 that I am using with Zalman CNPS9700 LED. I just ordered a Q9550 and was wondering if I wanted to hit 3.9GHz~4 area, what kind of cooler should I be looking at? I'm currently looking at the SunBeam Core Contact Freezer, since it seems to be able to fit in my case, whereas I am not sure about the TRUE.

I run a q9550 that runs at 3.92GHz at 1.385v and use a TRUE 120 with a single 120mm Scythe S-Flex in an Antec 1200. Idle temps are 38* and my highest temp using intel burn test was 62*.

Make sure your northbridge cooling is sufficient. I have a 92mm fan blowing on it to keep it nice and cool.

I have CM690, and have 2 120mm blowing down on the motherboard, hopefully that'll be enough. i wonder if I can reach 3.8~4 with my CNPS9700.

my Q9550 has never gotten over 44C (yet) - I haven't done a full blown crunch test on it yet, but have played FC2 for over an hour and never saw the temps jump!

using a Xigmatek S1283 - simply awesome!
