Picked up one today at lunch. I'm replacing an e8400 running at 3.6GHz, which I'm never going to get out of this q9300, but even if I can only get a 3.2GHZ OC or there abouts, I'll be alright. I know I'm not going to see much difference in the short term in gaming, but I use Adobe Premier, and that maxes out both cores on my e8400, so I'm hoping to cut down my encoding times with a quad core replacement.

I picked up one of these during lunch today as well at the Westbury store. Place was packed and the sales guy said they were flying off the shelf today. I saw 2 other people on line purchasing them. Best price online is around $240 so even with tax this is s good deal. Lines were really long too, would never be able to tell we are in a recession from shopping in that store.

Been running mine at 3.3GHz since I got it, no voltage increase. I can boot into Windows at 3.5GHz and it works fine for awhile, but doesn't pass any heavy stress testing. I haven't bumped up the voltage too much to see if that would help, right now 3.3Ghz is fine, my old e8400 was at 3.6GHz, but I'm not missing anything. If anything, when I run encoding in Adobe Premiere Elements, I'm seeing my jobs done in about half the time, which is awesome.
