I can boot windows at 4ghz on air with my Q6600, but I'd need probably 1.47-1.49 volts to stress it safely I think. Temps at load would be mid 60s~

That ok to do? Want to be sure!

It will be a cold day in the fiery place downunder before you could crank the GHz up to 4 and the voltage >1.45V and still have an air-cooled system that operated in the "mid 60's"...

On a lapped Tuniq120 with lapped G0 Q6600 the best I can get at 3.3GHz and stock voltage (1.275V) is 63C when loaded with small FFT.

You would also set all kinds of records if you could get any air-cooled Q6600 at any voltage to be Prime95 small FFT stable for 6 hrs at 4 GHz.

I just ran my Q6600 at 3.6ghz at 1.3vcore for 8 hours on orthos with the highest core hitting 59 degrees at load, when I got in at 4ghz it ran orthos for little bit and didnt top 67~ but that didnt last too long. And the thermal paste hasnt even settled yet. Idle at 3.6ghz is 37 degrees.

that's with Termalright Ultra 120 Etreme, Scythe fan, CM690 case with 6 120mms in it (3 in 3 out).
