I'm not seeing the hot deal here.

$15.00 more, faster, and 45nm.

Same price, almost as fast, and 45nm.

Me either. Just get a Ph2 X3 with a known unlocking board (Like mine), update the BIOS to one that is known to help you unlock (F5/F5a on my gigabyte) and unlock it and overclock it.

Cool n Quiet is way better than Speedstep, too-- I'm running my Ph2 at 1.04v @2.2Ghz and 1.475v @ 3.6ghz. Can't drop the voltage way down on an Intel chip like that.

It's a warm deal at best. You do get VT support vs. on the Q8xxx you don't, but the Q8xxx series would be faster overall.

I want chicken and chi-chi's

Some of us don't have mobos that support 45nm. This is a good deal for those limited to a 65nm Intel platform who don't want to spring for a new mobo at the same time.

yeah... and i got one last year for $105 with a coupon and a rebate and a flashdrive and the 'hot thursday' sale... how dare you post this...

only idiots with older systems that they might want to upgrade could possibly care about it, and who cares about them?

Q6600 has double the l2 cache too.

I will admit this is a good price, but come on Newegg......"shellshocker" this is not!
