Of course I'm waiting for the 22nd :)

This rig's right on the $1500 mark so it works well for me. I'll look into coolers tomorrow at work.

I made a thread about my original rig (with the E6600) a while ago and got a lot of helpful responses. So this one seems like it's doing alright. I just can't wait to move up from a P4 2.8 ghz (northwood) so some of these snazzy new processors. :-O

Thanks again.

I'm running dual core myself now, Doodle. Up from an AMD 64 3200+. The difference is amazing for multi-tasking: I'm running defragger in the background, and playing GR:AW. No noticable lag. You're going to love your new computer, Doodle. :) Wish you all the luck with it.

Where did I take your answer, Bob?

Bob, I didn't "steal" your answer. In fact, I had never even READ your answer in that thread. You never stated it here. I would be willing to bet, that almost everything you have said - has been said somewhere else on this forum before. Does that mean you are stealing other people's answers? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out my games didn't work because of the registry.

no it sure wouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, but a lot of the info i see you spewing around here really makes me question your level of knowledge. it is fine to learn, but don't be giving advice just to type, if you don't know it, learn it

like i said, you are too obsessed with the W #, i would take a 400-450W enermax over a 550W rosewill any day and you could for nearly the same prices. they just make better units, and don't limit yourself to enermax, there are a whole lot of other units out there that outperform any rosewill unit.

and also, where did you get these "great reviews" from about the rosewill? i wouldn't take newegg reviews too seriously...

They might make better units, but the rosewill is "cheaper". You are not comparing products that are equal to eachother. The difference you are comparing is quality, and that's why they cost more. You should be comparing the wattage, when considering which is "cheaper". Example, I do not say: You're wrong, it would be cheaper to purchase a nuclear powerplant, than to buy this PSU.

I have never claimed to be an expert. And as I told the OP with the rosewill, just consider it. I didn't tell him to buy it, I said consider it as an option. Why? Because it "seemed" good for whatever knowledge I do have about it, but I didn't want to lead him astray.

Also, what's your problem? I was right about the registry keys, so why are you jumping on me? It seems to me that you are simply looking for a fight. You accuse me of stealing your comment!

Where did I get the reviews? Newegg, anandtech user(s) when I posted my build earlier, and a review website.

you don't need to compare the wattage because a 400-450W quality unit more than likely has more real useable W than a junk 550W unit, that is why you don't obsess on W. when comparing a quality unit vs a junk unit can't compare them as they are apples and oranges.

and i am not looking for a fight, it is just that every post i see from you seems to be more than 1/2 incorrect, hell you didn't even know what ethernet was. what i am saying is not to give info if you don't know and it seems you just like to give info and not care if it is accurate and if you think you are giving accurate info, then you need to learn more.

the stealing comment may have been a cheap shot, but how can anybody expect you to know what the registry is if you don't know what ethernet is?

i will leave you alone from here on out, but please, if you are going to contribute to discussion and give recommendations, know what you are talking about, just don't respond to get your post count up. and read more, this board is a wealth of information, just waiting at your fingertips, use it and you can give back many x as one learning experience will cascade into many others.

I have that PSU. I LOVE it. It is VERY stable and very quiet. I have put it in 5 PCs that i have built over the last year and a half. Not one single problem with any of them. I HIGHLY recommend it. However i have been hearing GREAT things about the Corsair PSUs. I plan on building a C2D rig within the next month and i will probably go with the Corsair 520X. I dont think you can go wrong with the Enermax though. It is great looking and rock solid.
