Anyone in here running this chip @ 3.0 GHz (9x333)? I'd like to know what load temps to expect air cooling (thermalright ultra-120 probably+120mm fan). Please only reply if you actually have a Q6600 or Q6700 and are cooling it with air.

Thanks in advance!

You should expect Idle around 40-45C and load 65-70C on default voltage. By load I mean 4x Prime95.

Oh, @3.2, stock voltage

Load is not playing a game or running 3DMark because it's not stressing all four cores so yes with only 2 cores being stressed, 50-55C is to be expected. Try 4x Prime95 and be surprised of the real load temp.

No way high 50's at 100% load on a QX6700 w/ Tuniq unless you are running in open air? Can you run Prime95 on all 4 cores for 8 hours and post the temp? I can't believe you would only be in the 50's. Or TAT?

Are you reporting the CPU temp as a whole or are you stating the average core temp of each core when using speedfan of coretemp?

I know that p95 really rapes the processor usage. I wonder what to expect when using x264.exe for several hours.

Coretemp. Speedfan is usually -15 degrees.
