Does anyone else feel a little over whelmed by the number of potentially good games coming out in Q1? So far we have RE7, Yakuza 0, Kingdom Hearts and probably a few I'm forgetting. On top of that we have Zelda, Mass Effect, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Halo Wars 2, Persona 5, Ghost Recon, Sniper 4 and bunch more coming out. Already have a mass backlog but between Zelda and ME alone that's probably 80 hours of game play.

Which Kingdom Hearts is coming?

The only games I'm committed to purchasing are Persona 5 and Horizon Zero dawn. Though there are many games that are potentially good to great as you mentioned. I'm just not buying them immediately, gonna sit on them (RE7, Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 0). Might get Mass Effect but it has to be a solid 9/10 for me on that one. I'm not convinced they can reboot it successfully.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8. I know it's not "new" but still something I never really played in the past. I'm getting Persona 5, Zero Dawn, Zelda and ME for sure. The others will have to wait.

I'm definitely not. I got KH 2.8, and I'll be adding Horizon in a month, then I'll finish with KH 1.5+2.5 and MLB 17 at the end of March. That's it--not just for the quarter, but for 2017. Not just for PS4, but including PC, XB1, 3DS, and Wii U/Switch. 4 games in 3 months, then nothing for the rest of the year. I'm holding out hope that there's stuff announced at E3 (like a Halo 6 that doesn't blow ass like the last one).

Not even Horizon Zero Dawn? That's probably the most hyped game of the first half of the year for the PS4.

I want H:ZD but since it doesn't have multiplayer, I will hold off for reviews. Amazon honors the 20% discount for two weeks so that should be enough time to get enough feedback.

You missed my second sentence.

Also, I don't care about the hype of anything. I won't be touching Red Dead Redemption 2, just as I didn't touch the first. I wouldn't play Mass Effect for free, as I've not liked those games.

I didn't mean hyped as in heavily advertised. More like highly anticipated and praised. Also when you said Horizon I was thinking Forza for some reason lol

I'm going to buy Nioh once I find it somewhere for $40, and will probably do the same for Horizon Zero Dawn.

Wow RDR1 was awesome. RDR2 I'll buy on launch day unless it turns out to be a complete piece of crap.

Rockstar games are never crap. They are all at the very least fairly good but most are very good. They don't make horrible games at all.

While playing RDR and cheating at cards and getting busted you get challenged to a gunfight. I always wanted to yell out movie quotes like "I'm your huckleberry" or "go ahead, skin that smoke wagon and see what happens". I don't know why that is. I thought it was funny for some reason.

I guess it depends on interest. I don't like GTA at all. I enjoyed Vice City for a little bit, but stopped caring long ago. I saw my cousin play GTA V several times, and it was OK to watch for about half an hour, but never looked like something I would enjoy actually playing. The storytelling was really bad and uninteresting, from what I saw. GTA is pretty much why I never took an interest in RDR. The only game I can say I really liked from Rockstar was their ping-pong game, it was pretty cool...but I sucked at it.

GTA can be very juvenile in its story and dialogue while RDR was mature and believable. Actually quite sad in the end and can be emotional.
