They have this report on tv badmouthing online RPG's

They have this mom crying about how she had to go put dinner on her sons desk to get him to eat..and shse was CRYING while recounting this.

HAHAHAHA

Now the sad news:

She started the Website "online gamers anonymous" and got rid of her games...

She proudly displayed a big glass jar of her son's games...all the cds...cut up in small pieces:(

So sad....:(...poor kid:(

Link?

Guess she's too foolish to realize that you can run a lot of games without CDs. I'm running EQ2 without the CD in the drive right now.

That's just crazy...

Guess she's not smart enough to know that CDs are rarely needed for online RPGs (MMOs). But maybe she destroyed her son's computer too.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

So it's basically to purge ourselves of these evil online games and convert to Christianity in the process?

Sounds like the kid had a unhealthy obsession. If only he ate his damn food.

The 12 Steps

You know, as an avid online gamer myself, there isn't a single step on that list thats even remotely helpful.

Not only that, but my life is very manageable. I don't have any trouble seperating my 'real' life from my EQ2 'avatar'.

Also, if you read their segment on online friends, seen here, they make no mention of the fact that a lot of people play with friends from school or work. The EQ2 guild I'm in is over 75% people from my work center, and the other 25% is people that are stationed at other bases.

These people are really out there . . .

Well considering the kid would'nt eat unless the food was in front of him, i think there was a problem.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other compulsive on-line gamers and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

What is this, the exorcist?

The problem is that children are raised within the sphere of ignorance.

As any nuclear physicist will tell you that newly formed particles within the sphere of influence take on the characteristic of more powerful particles that have already taken hold.
