Q: Which version of the Moto G (2nd Gen.) to purchase for use on StraightTalk...

I'm looking to purchase a Moto G (2nd Gen.) for use on StraightTalk and I'm confused on which model to choose from Motorola's website; do I purchase the US GSM or the Global GSM?

Any "Pro's & Con's" would be appreciated.

Which straighttalk service? AT&T or T-mobile?

Moto G 2nd Gen

Only difference:
US Model supports AWS 3G (for T-mobile's network) but not 900mhz or 2100mhz 3G
Global Model supports 900mhz&2100mhz 3G but not AWS 3G

For AT&T, it doesn't really matter. I'd still get the USA version(in case I would switch to T-mobile), while I'd choose the global version if I'm traveling overseas often, especially asia/europe

I'm surprised that they had two models (a lot of phones support pentaband 3G, which would be AWS+900+the other 3 3G bands)

I might look at the Moto G LTE (1.5G)... Straighttalk has throttled access to AT&T's LTE (8mbps i believe)

Thanks for the info paperwastage; since I don't travel outside the US, I'll go w/ the US version. I asked about the Global model because I was unsure if there were any "hidden" benefits to picking that model vs. the US GSM version here in the US, I'm such a n00b when it comes to cell phones it really isn't funny!
