Well, with Coppermines reaching well below the $200 mark, I'm going to be buying a new processor in the next month or so to replace my current Celeron 366->550. I think its time for a real Coppermine, rather than a CeleronII.
Question though - which one to get? I'm going to do some good overclocking. I have a 72w peltier ready to go, and I'll be getting an Alpha PEP66u soon. I'm using a BX setup (Asus P3B-F) with an MSI slotket (FCPGA support), Crucial/Micron PC133, TNT2 Ultra, etc, and I'd like to get at least 133, if not well above it. That being said:
1) Slot1 or FCPGA? With those speeds that include both (I guess 550-667?), is there a difference in overclocking ability?
2) Considering the cb0 issue...from what speeds up include these revised chips? i.e. are there PIII 550e's with cb0 stepping? Clearly the cb0 is better than the ca0, right?!
Thank ye.
