Q: What is the "opposite" of "gas?"

If refering to states of matter, then the opposite of a 'gas' would be a 'solid'. Like the opposite of ice would be water vapor.

If refering to gasoline, then I have no idea.

if you are implying the gas phase, I would say solid. Gas phase represents "total" freedom whereas solid phase demonstrates "total" structure and immobility.
