Yea, I realized right after I typed "cleaning kit." that a buddy of mine has an AR-15 with an aftermarket buttstock that has extra space for some things. Thought about it, then remembered that Paulie, an Army guy who went to Iraq, said that when he was on patrol that his top kept a map, a tiny compass and a small knife + cleaning kit in his.
