Q: What is more fun than watching lightning storms?

Look into getting a lightning trigger. One can be made with a slave strobe too if you're cheap like me.

A friend made one from one of the button slave strobe triggers. Only goes off on the brightest lightning flashes, but he got great results.

Those are some nice shots. 😀

<--Illinois and going to have them all week :/ Flash flood now.. scary. What state are you in? They also did tv warnings for Indiana.

I call BS. Noone is fast enough to capture a lightning strike. Lieeez1!!1onetoo

Good shots.

You could always just go with a long exposure time if it's not too bright out, and wait for lightning to come.

I can see it now, "Local idiot struck by lighting while photographing storm. Page 2: One helluva picture."

BTW, I heard that if you take a picture while you're inside a lightning bolt, it just comes out as the devil's wang. True?

If my camera wasn't a pos I would have done that 🙂 but a ton of lightining was behind the clouds, so all the clouds would have been lit up permanently,.
