I see a lot of people carrying around these USB "thumb drives," and I'm curious, what do you do w/ yours? 😕

Keep your responses clean please 🙂

I just use mine for work and don't carry it around all of the time. It's handy at times but not something I need a lot.

I don't have one but I have noticed that other students in my classes use them to carry project info between home and campus.

i remember when i was in college, and before i had dsl...which is about 2-3 years ago, i carry around several zip disks cus the campus machines had zip drives...

Acts like the old floppy disks.

Convient to transfer small amounts of data quickly

My 64mb USB drive has been awesome for me over even just the past week or two. I'm working on several projects at school in the computer labs - which I work off of the USB drive. All I have to do is take it home and bam I can easily continue to work where I left off.

It gives me some satisfaction when I'm all packed up ready to go when the bell rings, when everyone else is frantically trying to load up hotmail on our incredibly bogged down school internet.

What he said

i carry it with me to school.. it has documents on it so i can print it quickly.. like something im working on at school. its easier to print from the usb drive than print from my computer..

I just got mine Friday 128 Mb. Installs fine on 2 of my computers but I can't install it on my 98SE machine, the one I would use the most.

So far I just walk around with the lanyard around my neck showing it off.

school projects, a few things I like to work on if I get spare time in the computer lab, my favorite colorspy, and a to-do list.

before i got a PDA, i would use it to store a copy of my resume, an encrypted password/PIN database, a portfolio of my work, and my current work projects.

I have been planning on getting one only because I am at so many different clients on any given day and am always downloading Ad-Aware/Spybot/AV definitions/etc.
