the eu is not a country, yet, and exporting is a different concept than production. FYI there are countries in s/e asain and europe where exports and imports are actually greater than the countries gdp.Originally posted by: gingermeggs

what did i saw that was wrong, what does your post have to do with mine besides some inane venting?
Your post made claims which are absolutely false. Mine is a refute of those claims.
whose claims are-
a)the us is still the worlds primary producer, especially of capital and durable goods.
USA IS NOT- it is the largest single economy in the world 3x larger then it's nearest rival which is japan- but the EU is slightly larger then the USA, not the number one exporter- is germany, china beats you there too!
And you economy is still in decline, not that it will be bettered by one single country for 30 years odd.
again, exporting and importing is a very different concept than productionChina surpassed the US as the world's second-largest exporter in the middle of 2006, according to data published Thursday by the World Trade Organization, and the emerging economic giant is pulling further and further ahead. Ireland slipped from 26th ranking of the world's leading merchandise exporters in 2005 to 29th place in 2006.
you are correct here, india is probably a secondary world power militarilyb)seriously, not even close. china is a decade+ away from being even a secondary military power globally, at best now its a tertiary power, on par with iran, pakistan, or india.
China(1.5bil pop) and India(1.5bil pop) are already secondary powers, to parity them to Iran(50mill pop) or Pakistan(50mill pop) is misleading.
India has quite a formidable navy. India and china have 100's of nukes(some long range capability too) Iran has none and Pakistan has fewer then 20 and a trained on India with only medium range capability.
also:
china 1338 million, india 1169 million, pakistan 167 million, iran 74 million
(had links to cia wfb but links kept breaking)
china, pakistan, iran and india are all top-10 militaries in terms of active troops
all these countries have million+ man armies with fairly antiquated tech, with the exception of india which mosts a fairly large navy and very large airforce. spain, ukraine, eqyptand a few others probably would have been a better comparison
compare that to secondary military powers such as france, the uk, russia, italy and a handful of others that have first rate tech and the ability to project force globally within days or hours, or israel, SK, etc which have large advanced militaries in very hostile areas
or the united states which is 5-10 years ahead of the secondary countries technologically, and not only has the ability to project power globally, but at any given point can do so against all but a handful of countries successfully within minutes if necessary.
talk about some fucking fail on your part.
I agree with you on the long term future of china, Its at critical mass so it can never be a world leader, poverty will always chase its coat tails.
But I believe the hay day of the usa is over, it doesn't get any better from here for you guys.
I am not going to say *FAIL sh!tcvnt
