hah...we just talked about that in psych class last Wednesday. There's some special term for people who can do that but I forgot what it is.

I can't remember right now if this has ever happened to me. It's much more common for me to dream I'm awake, though. Like when I have to get up early in the morning and haven't had enough sleep, I'll dream that I've gotten up and am getting ready, until something in the real world wakes me up and I go "SH!T" and jump out of bed. My brain is evil. :(

I don't know what it means, but once I dreamt that I dreamt that I dreamt that I dreamt that I woke up. It was really freaky. After about the third time, I asked myself "Ok, am I really awake now?" I wasn't.

I've dreamt that I was explaining a dream to someone (just last night actually), so technically I would have had to have the dream to explain it...? *head explodes*
The other weird way to dream was my dream was the script to a play, and I was reading it in my dream while visualizing what was going on. Definately different.

"lucid dreaming" <- if you become aware in a dream that you're dreaming
"false awakening" <- if you dream you awake in a dream..but you're still in the dream
goes further....l

google can give you a lot of interesting stuff about these subjects

I dreamt that I was dreaming and woke up only to be in another dream where I woke up only to be in another dream where I woke up...etc....

Needless to say, when I really did wake up it took me 5 minutes before I realized that I really DID wake up.

Edit: There's worse. There was a dream where I knew I was dreaming and was worried that I'd be late for class. So I tried to force myself to wake up, only to wake up into another dream. That repeated several more times.

Yah, half the time I actually wake up, the other half of the time I wake up in another dream.

I've done both. Only a few times though, and not recently.

I once had a dream that I was late for the bus to school, so I got dressed, and went outside to wait. It was mid-winter though, so when I went outside the cold hit me and thats when I woke up, outside, waiting for the bus, at three in the morning. Basically I was conscious of my surroundings but not 'awake' until I walked outside. That was weird.

Lucid dreams are cool--only had a few of those. The best dreams I've had were those of flying (like Superman) or walking on water.
God complex? :D

(e.g. I had this dream where I fell off a tall building--usually, I'd wake up suddenly, but once, instead of falling to my doom, I "changed" it to where I was flying . . .)
