Q for graphics people.. drawing tablets?

I'm looking at getting a drawing tablet, in the 9x12 range, with pressure sensitive stylus, etc... Can anyone who does graphics and illustrations give me some opinions on what's good and what's not? We were originally looking at Intuos tablets, but from what I'm reading, they're not all they're advertised to be, having features which aren't supported by any software, etc... What are you graphics people out there using...?

i should mention these will be used on a pc, under adobe apps primarily...
