Q For Fathers With Daughters ...

How would you react if you found out your little girl was making 10-100x your income by means of her OnlyFans website, and also advertised it on Reddit?

Clarification ... asking fathers because I do not know of any women on this board and what few there may be represent too tiny of a percentage to matter. But for those extremely few mothers with daughters please do chime in.

Also, what brought this up was I was on Reddit this morning reading a snippet to a Twitch conversation about this young woman stating she made more in two months on OnlyFans then she would have made in ten years on Twitch. The fact that the Twitch host couldn't pick his jaw up off the floor was amusing, but I wondered what that girl's daddy thought of her OnlyFans efforts.

BTW, anyone eighteen and over is legally an adult and can do whatever they want--and I am all for that. But as someone not a parent (by choice) I wonder about those with kids. And now that I think of it, how does this change for parents with sons in the same framework?

Also, to further caveat if you have not yet seen what free advertised content on Reddit looks like for those on OnlyFans, then go look. Amusing and shocking.

Tough lol. Part of you wants to support your kids however they choose. If they are making big bank by just posting pictures and videos online, I can't crap on them too much. I honestly doubt they are making "10-100x my income" though. OnlyFans right now is the new "Rockstar". Everyone thinks they can do it... the majority don't attract much and don't make much.

Main thing that I would definitely remind them... is their body isn't going to be 18 forever. Not a whole lot of industries and jobs you can get after being a public camgirl. Thats another major problem, once it's on the internet... It doesn't go away. Not sure if it shows up in employer background checks, etc...

My girls are all toddlers, so not sure what that means of the opinions you're looking for.

I tend to believe that things in life are about educating people - similar to fearmongering kids about drugs makes them more likely to want to take them, etc...

Hell I told my boys I'm disappointed in them if they use YT to "get rich quick". I don't support those kinds of shortcuts in life. They [jokingly?] look up to these 20-somethings who "found a way" while not actually doing something productive and it grinds my gears.

It's one thing to do it on the side as a hobby and to gain knowledge/experience, but to skip/drop school or do that full time without trying to improve themselves in other ways is wasteful.

It's like anything else. You want to give them the illusion that it's their choice to be smart enough not to do it. Show them how bad it can be. And tell them they're flipping idiots if they choose that path. YT = drugs. :D

This is basically how I feel about it. I'd make sure she understood once it's out there it's there forever and will always follow her. Also that it isn't a long term job. Plus there are some real safety concerns.

I'd probably rather strip at a club, at least there is protection and it wouldn't follow her in the same way. However, there is some pretty negative culture there that I'd worry would suck her in.

Biggest concern is any time someone gets "easy money" they lose their desire to put in work to get sustainable income.

My friend's wife got on friend's only, claims to make bank, but I think it's probably like people that make bank at a casino, you only hear about the big nights.

Not exactly, because the way you're describing it is the classic "Drugs are bad, mkay?"

You gotta also tell them about people using it recreationally, some can do it - others fall victim to addiction and ruin their life. But it does give you a high that some find pleasurable.

Work smarter, not harder. I would ask her for some money since she would be like a billionaire.

I get what you're saying about working hard and doing something productive but if you discover "cheat code", you would be foolish not to use it unless the cons outweighed the pros. I discovered the "cheat code" and I used it to get out of the rat race. I have zero regrets about using it to retire early.

Good for them, so long as they're putting a hefty chunk of money away for the future, and being safe about it.

Actually not an abstract question for me, I know one of my kids has done something along these lines (not sure if it's OnlyFans or what) :p
I've even thought about doing it myself, existing in a niche porn category as I do these days. You do have to put in some effort to pull in the real money though.

If you don't care if the respondents are male or female why did you say fathers in the title?

I'd ask her how she was going to support herself once she couldn't do it off her looks any more.
"What happens when your body starts to disagree with the mirror?"
This applies to modeling, sports and a ton of other professions.

America is filled with parents who bunch their kids into sports where it's 5-10 years of glory and maybe a big paycheck at an early age followed by a lifetime of medication, pain and suffering.
If daddy's little girl was modeling in the fashion industry, how is that any difference than hopping on some website aside from adding drug abuse and fashion designer assholes and photography?

Some kid found a way to make money of her looks?
It's the parents responsibility to raise them properly in how to handle $$$$ and how to deal with people .

First questions a good father would ask would be "Are you managing your money like I taught you" and "Are you insuring that you have setup your online presence in way to insure no one is going to come knocking at your door"

Not a father so i guess my opinion isn't valid?

I would be both proud of them and shamed of my mediocre income. Winning is winning.
Also, this is a form of "exploit the system" that doesn't hurt anyone... unwillingly. I mean heckin' heck, if they were selling drugs i'd tell them to not get caught, not moralize on some antiquated "only sweat is honest work" mentality.

Many cheat codes are very short lived, or only seem like a cheat code when you are ignorant of the real world. I know people that dropped it if engineering school because the made so much as a bar tender, 20 years later they make what they were when they were 20 and I make 3x as an engineer.

Look at how many pro athletes and up broke.

I'd ask her how she was going to support herself once she couldn't do it off her looks any more.

If she was making 100x my income, she would only need to do it for 2 or 3 years and then live off the interest for the rest of her life.

I don't think that porn is really THAT profitable, though. Even the top stars aren't making that kind of bank.

Typically it's not, I think I remember reading that typical porn stars get somewhere between $400 - 800 per scene.

They might get a decent paycheck of $10-20k if say - they make a special dedicated movie as a big porn star name. If the porn star is heavily in demand they might be able to get $1,000 - $2,500 per scene - but honestly, I haven't heard a name at the level of Jenna Jameson in quite a while. Porn stars are a dime a dozen at this point.

Overall though, most guys get their fix from free stuff - so it's not exactly a huge money-maker. You're constantly at competition with trying to be the hottest, but also trying to fight against aging lol.

But what's turning things around is OnlyFans where they can go direct to consumers. Some are quite successful at it. Others suck at it and think it's easy - take a few raunchy pics and wonder why they aren't rockstars making thousands. It's basically a full-time job where you're satisfying people's fetishes and talking to them in DMs trying to get them to "give tips" and fulfill special requests as a cam-girl.

Regardless, it's similar to Patreon with Podcasts and Youtubers, with OnlyFans in order to get the BASIC access you first have to pay a monthly subscription, and then they constantly encourage and ask for tips.

I did see the one hot tub Twitch streamer recently complaining about Twitch pulling ads from her channel without mentioning it was going to happen, allegedly she was making $1k/day from the ads alone, and of course she also has an OnlyFans.

What if it is your son? Is there a gender difference?

Hopefully my daughters will find something better to do with their life than showing of to some fapping guys. Luckily I live in a country where all education is paid by taxes, and if you have the interest and the abilities you can do what you want, without turning to OnlyFans to raise money for living.

Yeah except investing wisely isn't cheating IMO .... far as I'm concerned that income from those wise investments was earned.

I will however concede that hitting it big they way you and others have during the pandemic does involve a degree of good luck in your timing.

:)

EDIT: And although far as I'M concerned they're both the most beautiful girls in the world (100% objective lol) I can't see either one of my daughters doing that kind of thing. All I can say right now is that I'd be less than thrilled.

Did you just call your daughters too ugly to do porn?

My friend's wife that does it is not at all attractive and has granny tits, yet people pay for her. No idea why.

So first it becomes... "Hot hot are you?"

Then it transitions into.... "What inanimate objects are you willing to insert into your anus?"

Some make the transition smoothly. Others, not always....

You do have to put in some effort to pull in the real money though.
While I'm not a YouTuber (although I considered it), nor do I have an "OnlyFans" site (never been there). But I imagine that it's like most everything else. You don't get that sweet money "for free", at least, not entirely. It requires effort, and often, a little bit of talent. (Certainly helps.)

Do you think Linus Tech Tips just goofs off in front of the camera, "for fun"? No, he runs a profitable business, and employs support people, even though it's usually him on camera. (And now he's got some buddies too, doing vids for him.)

I've been mildly, though not largely, successful with some CC/mining "work" that I've done. That's probably one of the most passive income sources, that's "easy to do at home", but myself, unlike two of my slightly less-technical friends that I tried to get into doing this as a side gig, I do have an aptitude for that sort of things (comes naturally out of my PC-building skills), whereas they don't even care to learn enough to do it, or even to manage a rig if I built it for them.

I mean, if I had kids, and one of them showed an aptitude for Crypto, then I would encourage their interests, and just set down some ground rules, they need to pay their share of the power bill, and only day-trade whatever CC they've mined.

Yeah, I know she is willing to do anything dudes ask her to. One dude likes her to act like a mouse. I'm guessing the hot ones just have to rub themselves a bit, so the real fetish guys have to move down the scale.

As someone with a college educated professional child who works in corporate and pays their own rent/bills -

I would hope my child would be fleecing these basement dwelling neckbeards for all their worth, investing the assets, and have a plan for for once the gravy train ends. What once was hot yesterday is easily replaced by the next best thing in social media like OnlyFans. Stack cash, invest, because the ramifications of you showing your face while shoving eggplants up your cornhole will last a lifetime.

If I didn't already know you were a decent guy I might take that line the wrong way fyi ... read what I wrote again.

Both my daughters are athletic and in great shape however also both are far too intelligent to choose a "career" in porn.

I on the other hand AM FAR too ugly for porn! :p (damnit)
