Q: Anyone buying C in the AM?

If the stock goes up tomorrow, I'll probably sell my shares to secure profit. Don't want to be too greedy. There will be plenty of up/down swings for me to get back in.

Predictions on tomorrow's earnings? =D

Even though they are expected to post a loss ~34¢ a share vs. a bit over a $1.00 a year ago, I think they will beat the estimates in the AM by ~5¢ IMO. 🙂

But Pandit said in a memo leaked back in March that Citi was profitable during both January and February! 😉

He also said March was tough. Whats Bodhi?

Patrick Swayze's character in Point Break.

I can guarantee that the stock won't go up tomorrow because tomorrow is Saturday.

Ha...see what I did there? It was after midnight, so it was technically Friday, and...er...nevermind.

Anyway, if they went down .36 on good news, I hope they don't get any REALLY good news and go down $2 🙁

Up .42¢ today! 😀

yeah, C has done me very well over the past two weeks.

I picked up 500 shares at 3.80 and another 426 at 4.70 today. I'm up quite nice at this point.

How many of you bought only one stock so far this year and have a 100% gain but since the stock is still undervalued, you are waiting for an additional 50%?

so far so good.. bought 200 @ 2.90 and brought my average cost ( including my C shares bought 8-10 years ago ) down to 6.40! Waiting to break even!! In meantime, I'm keeping myself happy with a 30% profit on SPNG!! god bless the stock market 😛

I've bought and sold C so many times, we're thinking about a serious relationship at this point.

So you're the other man/woman! :|

I still have mine. My total portfolio hit +100% for the year today!

are you actively day trading or going long wit stocks?

I'm trading a little, but I mostly leave it alone. I had WFC and sold it, I had CY and sold it, and I bought NXXI, WMT, and some more F when it was cheap.

I overpaid for WMT! 🙁

Yeah, I bought it at 50.21. SIRI for .14 was a good buy. So was Ford for like 1.70 or whatever I paid for it (I bought more later and averaged the numbers, so I don't know what my initial investment was).

Is it looking like the time to pull out with profits now, and wait for it to settle low again? Anyone expecting that is going to happen?

This latest Reuters article makes me anxious to see how many people are going to follow this and help this man make profit and then buy back into it when it's cheap. I'm thinking just like some other people, and likely this fellow, is thinking... but the question remains, anyone expecting that to happen now? Considering there is a point - it has jumped quite a bit in recent time, and it had spiked to some $4 or $4.50 in the spring before dropping quite a bit. But now, the bank is in a better position than it was the last time it spiked, and the news and current state of Citi seems to help make the stock a fair value at the moment, so if it does drop, it's because of people like this manipulating it's price. I just don't want to miss the profit train if it does indeed drop. 😉 I thoroughly expect this stock to have a series of rise and fall moments, with an overall upward trend.
So if that proves correct, the process of selling now, picking up more shares than before when it's cheaper, and watching it keep moving up... would be quite a good idea.
Sorry, just trying to sound out this idea, and the anxiety of whether this drop is going to happen or not.
