Q: About Work Background Check

I am getting hired for a bank job and off course are doing a background check.

On my resume i did not bother to list my 2 jobs that were 2-3months long. temporary jobs. should i list that on in the background check though or I should not? I dont know if they match with what i put on resume or the company just sends pass/fail result to my company's recruitor? I mean they do the seek my employment background based on my social security also Im sure right...

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

List it... if by chance they do check for those little things, they might ask you why you didn't list it. Either way, in their eyes you are now a liar and much less likely to be hired.

Just write "THIS IS A STICK UP!" in that area.

Seriously, why ask us? Why not call the HR department, explain they were temp jobs you didn't feel were pertinent to your resume and ask if they need to be listed on the back ground check.... Odds are they need that info

i never listed those type jobs and nothing happened.

<----work @ the credit union service center

I have had many jobs. Hell, my first job was at Dunkin Donuts. Now why would I include that on an application? I only include relevant jobs held on my applications and resume.

I have a copy of the last background check that was done on me. They did:

SSN Trace - looks for aliases and previous residences
Nationwide Wants and Warrants Search
National Criminal File Search
Drivers License Verification
Criminal Searches for all local counties
Patriot Act Search - ??

They checked the references I listed, but as far as I know they didn't look for any unlisted jobs.

All they will check is your BACKGROUND. Meaning

1. Warrants
2. Public Records
3. Criminal Records (if any)
4. Degrees/Education Verification

There are probably some more things they will check but they are at this point seeing if you have any "crazy sh1t" in your name.

They're not going to care about the jobs you didn't list, they're looking for criminal history/background and verifiying that you are who you say you are via SSN/DLN.
