She was a hair over 12' long and 37 pounds when I gave her away. She was eating one medium rabbit every two weeks or so.
Believe me when I say she could easily break your arm if she wanted to.
A 13-foot Burm (Burmese Python) is SMALL. Full grown female Burms are 18-22 feet long and weigh 250+ pounds. VERY dangerous animals.
Snakes, like all reptiles, have almost no intelligence. All instinct.
Cat. Dog. Alligator...it's all food.

well I dont think keeping a constrictor as a pet is considered normal

I was first attracted by reptiles (no, not that way, sicko!) b/c I'm allergic to cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters...anything with fur.
Aside from that, here's a typical "snake care schedule":
1 January - feed snake, fill water bowl
15 Janurary - feed snake, fill water bowl, change paper in tank if soiled
That's assuming that you have the proper heating equipment in the tank, lights on timers, etc.
Snakes are the ultimate no maintenace pets. I travel a lot on business, so I am not home oftne.
Snakes don't have to be walked, petted, etc. They make no noise. Perfect.

I can't tell exactly what I am looking at. It looks like two alligators. One sticking out and the long one. Did the python swallow two alligators? how come it's hind section is shaped like the gator? And if the gator was swallowed whole, why is it sticking out perpendicular to the python?

The tail of the alligator is sticking out of the python's mid-section, notice to the right of the tail sticking out you see the body going on. The python was 13 ft long! and the alligator was only 6.
Basically to the right of the alligator are the interior of the snake from where he burst open LOL and then you see the snake skin continue on.

How the heck this it manage the swallow the alligator from the back? Did the python do it so fast that the alligator couldn't get away?
It killed the alligator first? Dunno bout you but I dont get my meat by biting into living cows.

yeap i had a Redtail boa and a couple ball pythons.
The balls were great! never worried about them bitting or anything. they were fine unless you smelled like a rat during feeding time heh.
I had to give them away becase my house was just to cold (100yr old farm house). Now that i moved im thinking of getting another ball python. maybe one of the special ones like a albino or ghost. been browsing NERDs sight for them.
Though there is a reptile swap north of where i live. I got a the redtail for $70 about 5 years ago.
