Pyrotechnic ?

Flares are dangerous as hell in a residential area. Fire them over water or in a VERY large open area. In terms of a safe means of firing them, get the gun. Those things will mess you up if too close to them.

Haha, you remind me of myself 🙂 I build my own mortar tubes every 4th, but I buy the balls 🙂

Deffinately be careful with a flare. those things are hot as heck. Have water handy when / if you do anything with it.
