My reputation as a "fixer" depends upon my being able to get my mate
(honest!) out of trouble.
He just purchased a Sony CDU4811 cdrom, manufactured in Feb 2001.
Being an inveterate fiddler he decided to update the firmware to the
"latest" available. He selected PY09 from The Firmware Page and proceeded to
successfully flash the firmware.
Unfortunately, the original firmware, PY0A, was more uptodate and he has now
lost the ability to read RAW.
As most are aware, Sony won't publish firmware for the peasants to use, and,
given this episode, that may be wise!
Anyway, I have tried all the usual search engines, ftp's etc but cannot get
hold of a copy of the bin file for the PY0A firmware.
Can anyone please help? reg_rhonda@bigpond.com
