Anyone else convinced that the computer cheats itself a bunch of combos and +5 skulls?

You just need to pay more attention 😉

Its not that, but when the computer gets a match, the new gems that replace it are frequently like +5 skulls that happen to be in the right alignment to match up with other skulls, and stuff like that.

This game is amazingly fun, though I hate RPGs that level bad guys to your own level.

Haha, now I own at this game, level 24 Knight and Im kicking everythings ass. Going to to forge some things and make some nice items for me.

I dislike the end boss. They gave him such ridiculously powerful spells, then had him play like an idiot so the player even has a chance. I don't mind that he's hard, but I would have rather they gave him less powerful spells and have him play like an expert.

That said, I'm level 48 and he destroyed me so bad I went looking for other quests to "power up" first.

im playing this for the PC now (thanks to you guys for that. I blame you when my fam leaves me because all i do is this game) When you played the demo and then played the full version did it seem like the difficulty went way up? Maybe its just the pc version but it seems like it takes me WAY longer to lvl and that the battles are harder. In anycase i find myself ready to put my fist through my monitor but yet I ..Cant..STOP...Playing. ill walk away and come back within the hour to seek revenge lol. btw if anyone want to "borrow" my pc copy let me know.

The AI's "cheating" makes me crazy sometimes, but on balance I do love this game. This may be the first and only XBLA title where I earn most or all of the Achievement points.

The "Master Craftsman" achievement to forge a Godlike item is pretty insane. I thought I was going to get all the achievements but I think I could put 5 hours into this one and still not get it.

Even though I'm level 48 now I haven't played the Forge minigame other than once or twice. But now I have to destroy 21 of those friggin' anvils straight? Ugh... it feels like there's so much luck involved. I'll keep trying as long as it stays fun, though.

I did it in 3 tries. The best way to do it is to blow up +5 skulls adjacent to the anvils. It will still require a few tries I'm sure. I'm still level 36 so I gotta get to 50 and kill bane still.

what runes do you have to use to get a godlike item?

I looked at a couple of FAQs yesterday for this very question. Quite a few of them were not accurate. The one constant that you must have is one called the "Rune of the Gods" or something to that effect. It is in the "Valley of Kings" area near the Dwarf city ("Kor" is it?)

There are several combinations of other runes you can use alongside the Run of the Gods, I just searched for 5-10 random ones and then found a combination that showed the difficulty as "Godlike" before I forged. I don't even know what I'm making. 😛

I think there's only 1 godlike item. I got the recipe from game faqs. It was like rune of gods, poison, and something else.

I don't even use the item.

THe game is fun but there are SOOOO many good games coming out that I have to beat this one fast. So i hacked my spells to be uber powerful, now me and my knight with SuperStun absolutely rule!

In case you want to, there should be a zipped file called assets in your PQ directory, open it up and youll see fodlers for spells, items, etc... Open up the files with notepad and edit away the xml and lua files, easy!!
