This often causes problems, especially if the new puter uses a different chipset on the mobo. Check out this FAQ for more info. You're really better off reinstalling if at all possible.

edit: BTW, a more descriptive thread title would be a good idea - a lot of people won't bother looking if they have no idea what's inside. And welcome to the forums!
