Can you figure it out? I did, without any help. Not sure if my answer is right but its the only way. So post answers here.

Look very carefully at the grid along the long edge. It's not the same. The tiny difference in each section of the grid adds up to one square. If you hold a straight edge up to the long edge it's not even straight, but very nearly so. This was on Mr. Wizard about 12 years ago.
