putting xp pr on a laptop

So my friend wants my help picking out a laptop for her. she wants xp pro and not vista. i know there are laptops still being made with xp pro but i see a ton more with vista. would it be a bad idea if i got one with vista and installed xp on myself? Do you guys thinkg there would be some driver issues and compatibility problems?
 
Possibly.

If you don't want to buy a laptop with XP installed, you need to go to the manufacturer's website and make sure there are XP drivers for the chipset, special keys, audio, ethernet, wifi, video. If you can find all of those then you probably will be OK.
