Putting together a basic server.

Putting together a basic server. Just for storage, dvarchive, teamspeak, basic webserver to serve some stuff over the web, nothing major. Trying to keep it on the cheap and I came across this.

I'm pretty sure the sempron can handle it, and I like that it has onboard video, but the athlon combo is probably what I'll go with because it's a better chip and I have a spare video card to use.

My question is what's the rep of the board makers? PC Chips and Biostar. I have no experience with them and haven't heard much about them. I don't need high performance or anything, just reliability and stability since this will be up 24/7.

Also, if you know of a better deal on a board/cpu combo I'm all ears, err, eyes I guess it'd be.
 
pc chips i've never heard of. ever.

Biostar is a value brand. it is decent but not great for oc(which you probably wont do for a NAS) and support. probably better than pc chips brand though.
 
I've heard good things about Biostar, but pretty bad things about PC Chips. I'd definitely go with the Biostar if you want stabilityand reliability.
 
I would go with the biostar.
BTW, this should work well for your purposes. I have a server I use to host TS, a few websites, an FTP and other assorted junk running on a Athlon 1.4 ghz on a cheapy ECS mobo and it works perfectly. It is solid as a rock. One thing though, I would buy a quality powersupply if you plan on leaving it running for long periods.

Like I said, nothing high end so I'm not too concerned, but since you say that, what do you suggest?
