Putting labels on the butt end of HD's

Would this void the warranty? Most have a bar code sticker here.

It would be helpful if I could identify HD's without physically removing them from the array.

I do it and have never had a problem.

Just use labels that come off easy, problem solved.

I use them to leave pithy remarks on work drives.
