Yes As far as i know , you can just delete the c:/windows folder. But that HD will NOT be bootable so make surethe other drive isnt hidden. AND it would besomething like the D: drive so you would have to change the path apps installed EVERY TIME!
Hope This Helped

i am going to make my Raptor drive as primary, Drive C and Drive D,

my older Hitachi will be beginning from E:, F:, G:, and then rom drives..

how should i make it?
if i delete my older OS, will my newer drive recognize the files in my older drive?

Disconnect the old drive. Connect the new one. Go into the BIOS and make the PC bootable from the new drive. Then, install XP on the new drive. XP should end up on C: on the new drive.

Now, if everything is OK and you can boot to the new drive, connect the old drive. Your new XP on the new drive will see the partitions on the old drive and you can change their drive letters if you want to using disk management in XP.

You don't have to delete anything from the old drive. In fact, you can leave everything intact. If something goes wrong, you can always make the PC bootable from the old drive and boot up until you sort out the problem.

Edit:
After installing XP on the new drive and connecting the old drive, you may find out that you cannot access some of the files on the old drive. If that happens, you can take ownership of the files and access them.
