No, my friend... it's too fast and furious.
Oh I know...inside joke in my household every time someone goes flying by us on the freeway in a "riced" out import.

We always yell..."you so fast, so furious!!!"

Hey don't listen to everyone here. A nice, simple spoiler, whether on a FWD or RWD, can really improve the look of a car. As long as you keep it clean, and simple it isn't rice. Just don't do something like #1, 5, or 6.

Yeah, they give you a flat surface to set your beer on at football games. Other than that, 95% of them are completely useless. I have a factory spoiler on my '03 Maxima and it is completely useless.

what function does a spoiler serve on a front wheel drive car? and spoilers only serve function on RWD cars above a certain speed.

Really? The factory spoiler on my Mustang GT was just as useless as the factory spoiler on my Maxima is.

BTW-There are plenty of FWD racing cars that race in various categories around the world that benefit from a rear wing. (Note, I said racing cars.)

I would never understand this and the rest of the idiots out there that does it. Why in the world would someone buy a ****** car and spend more than the car's worth putting all that crap in it.

the car is already lowered, etc..

the car is going into the shop monday, so I need to pick one and have it delivered to the shop.

Here is what im looking at.. any recommendations?

spoiler 1

spoiler 2

spoiler 3

spoiler 4

spoiler 5

spoiler 6

Accords are not race cars LOL. If you want a race car, buy a race car. Please at least tell us that you own the coupe and not the sedan.

Damn right they're not race cars. They're rice cars! ;)
Of course, if you say race car with a British accent, it's gonna all come out the same anyway. :p

well yea, at extreme speeds a good spoiler will help, but only if the rest of the car is also designed for that kind of racing to begin with.

Haha I know you were mocking the title.. I was just taking it a bit further ;). I left off the second "too" (or '2') to try to avoid looking like I was actually fixing the title.

Personally, I think you'd get a lot less flak if you didn't try to buy the spoiler off eBay... eBay aluminum spoilers are the focus of the spoiler jokes.

The whole "spoilers only help RWD cars" notion is BS. It doesn't make that much of a difference whether the car is FWD or RWD, any speed above 60 is going to see a slightly more stable ride due to directed airflow. Of course, this is only if the wing is correctly sized and placed... A large wing on a small low powered car will not help, it will hinder. The same goes for a large higher powered car with a dinky little wing.

Go with something conservative, especially on that car...

BS! Shifting weight distribution toward the rear, on a FWD is not the effect you want. When you apply downward force on the rear of a FWD car, you will change the handling characteristics.......for the worst.

I don't know about you, but I prefer having all four wheels planted firmly on the pavement regardless of which pair is being driven.

Then why do they do it for FWD higher end cars? Why has my road racing instructor told me that a small wing will help small cars, even the FWD ones?

Hell, I noticed an increase in stability over 60 mph, on the straights. Besides, you don't get a small road racer above the speed that causes the wing to actually push down THAT hard on the back. It's not designed for pushing the back down, it's designed to keep the entire car from wobbling at mid-high speeds.

edit: Don't forget that some look great, and not all are even designed for moving air ANYWHERE.

actually with all the testing down in the 60's and 70's with the muscle cars, the big three all stated their spoilers are only usefull at 100mph or greater, and then it is still minimal compared to an SCCA type spoiler of now

Yes but how much do those cars weigh compared to plastic and CF imports from today? They are different time periods, with different materials, with different car classes.

what kind of decals are you putting on the back window?

"Playaz N' Pimpz Intl."
"Buy Your Own Accord"
"Accordian Fantasiez"

I love how everyone jumps on the bashing bandwagon. Most people on this board are probably too young to have a license.

I'm not fond of the Accord, but maybe go with #2

My lincoln is RWD .. does that mean it's OK to rock in a Town Car with a giant wing? I bet I could make one - there is a home depot close to here ...
